Marisa Jade Parry is a born and raised San Diego beach bum turned New York classy lady. Specifically, she's a child of the (late) 80's, a lover of tacos, and an encyclopedia of all things "Friends" related. She can throw a perfect spiral football 30 yards, sleep for 12 hours straight, and make a deliciously mean pitcher of white peach and nectarine sangria.
Oh, and also, SHE CAN ACT.
From the day she was called out at 5 years old during a rehearsal of a community theater production of "Peter Pan" for being the "most professional actress of any age I have ever worked with" (direct quote from anonymous director), Marisa was destined to live the life of a performer. It runs through her veins (if you believe in that deep kind of stuff), and she's remained focused and determined on achieving these dreams for 20+ years now.
Her passion led her to the bright lights of NYC where she received her BFA from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in May 2011. While at college, she studied at William H. Macy and David Mamet's esteemed Atlantic Theater Company, and starred in various productions there, including "Lysistrata" and "Top Girls". She was taught by and got to work directly with some of the best names in the business, including Kristen Johnston, Todd Thaler, Neil Pepe, Mary McCann and Charles Tuthill.
Post-graduation, Marisa has stayed active in New York filming TV shows, commercials, web-spots, independent feature films, and comedy sketches. She also performs in Off-Broadway shows and readings whenever the opportunity arises.
Basically, she's gonna take over the world one day, win 37 Oscars, yada yada yada. Until that happens though, you can find her at any Mexican restaurant in the city. Eating tacos.
